About

Dr. Yariv Feniger’s main area of research is the social mechanisms that shape individuals’ educational opportunities within and outside education systems. In this context, he has extensively studied educational inequality by class, ethnicity, and gender at different stages of the educational trajectory, from middle school onward, as well as in the transition from higher education to the labor market. Alongside this, he is interested in how data and measurement, at both the school and system levels, influence decision-making in education. In this context, he has extensively examined the effects of national assessments, such as the Meitzav, and international assessments, such as PISA and TIMSS. In addition, he has long been engaged in the study of Israeli society, particularly in relation to public opinion on a wide range of political and social issues.
